The Women !!

Happy Women's Day to all the pretty ladies reading this blog.  Sacrifice is a woman's middle name! That's what society says. But is it really? I happen to be privileged enough to have wonderful women around me, in my home, in my family and acquaintances.  My mother never told me that I have to sacrifice my dreams and live someone else's. She says and I quote, "You always have to live your dreams before you live someone else's " These words are so powerful that they may scare some people. I might be too young to say things but aren't humans always scared of power?  So when I see a strong independent woman being the target for society to talk about, I feel that people are scared of her and why wouldn't they be?  Women are capable of so much more than the world knows and even think about. Women are too strong that in Hindu Mythology they are worshipped and their power is said to be undefeated. Women are wise and intelligent that they are basically ru...

Moving Ahead from Self Doubt

Hello Everyone, (Read it till the end.) We all faced backlogs in the year 2020, we all somehow fell back and changed for good or bad.  The change might be a big one or a tiny one. For me, the year was a Roller Coaster ride. While there were fun and amazing ups, downs were putting me in major self-doubt. I learned one thing which is being vulnerable is normal but stopping to learn from that phase is wrong.  I took my time to get over the self-doubt that I wasn't good enough to pursue content writing even while I had been writing blogs for more than 3 years now. When I started to apply for internships, there wasn't much hope but I was optimistic to learn. The spark of learning is what kept me going and I am not planning to stop anytime soon.  Even though I was interning with a US-based firm, I knew that I have to keep learning and upgrading. There was a lot of things that would put me down but not enough to make me give up on what I am aiming for. The determination to...

Thank You, Teachers.

Happy Teacher's Day. A day when we thank our teachers for all that they have given us. Back in school, it was more like a fun day with teachers putting up performances and taking a break from teaching. This Teacher's Day isn't the same. When colleges and schools shut during the pandemic, teachers across the world came ahead and didn't let the teaching and learning stop. The concept of Online Teaching was adopted and educators dropped their traditional and conventional methods of teaching and adopted this new technology. The transition though was difficult for all, but it was worth it. Online Classes may not be as good as the offline classes due to many factors but the spirit of teaching and the spirit of learning made it much more efficient. Our teachers are our role models, indeed, but they taught us many new things during this pandemic. I learned to be much more patient. I learned that there is absolutely no age bar to learn something new. I learned to adapt to a new...

Poem: " A Blunder Happened. "

A blunder happened. Calls were made. It was tried to fix. But all in vain. A blunder happened. People came up. Theories came up. Justice demanded. A blunder happened. Blame-game started. He said something. She did something. A blunder happened. Newspapers wrote. It went viral. Debates started. A blunder happened. People outraged. People protested. People fought. A blunder happened. Evidence vanished. Facts manipulated. Arguments raised. A blunder happened. Some fought. Some moved on. Justice? Alas! It is blind. ** I don't write or comment on any ongoing cases. I lack the experience to say or conclude anything with incomplete rather distorted knowledge. The poem above is just a piece of creative writing. **  Thank you for reading. Leave a comment. Share with your friends and family. - Ira Pandey.

What's so wrong??

Hello Readers, It's just been even 6 months into 2020 and we have seen multiple faces of humanity. While some people put their life at stake to protect humanity, some didn't think twice to leave their families to provide their services at the borders, while some spread positivity to boost spirits, some didn't hesitate to spread hate. We witnessed many events in 2020, we saw a drastic graph of events and it feels like a new adventure each day. Amidst the difficult times, a young actor committed suicide and the country mourned for the loss. There were many strong opinions about what might have made him take this big step. We, as a society took the matter in our hands and blamed the film fraternity and the very popular concept of "Nepotism". " I am not here to defend anyone, or to blame anyone but to ask questions." Actors whose parents have been in the fraternity were horribly blamed for suicide attempted by the actor who happens to be an outsider in the i...

A quick note.

Hello Readers. I am Ira Pandey and I am an engineering student. I am not qualified to write about depression, anxiety, or any other mental disease as such. So why am I posting this blog? Because I am qualified enough to listen, I am qualified enough to be trusted and I am qualified enough to say, "Things will be okay, believe in yourself." Why is it so important to say these words? Because sometimes people need to hear these when they can't say these to themselves. Depression is a state of mind and can be caused by multiple factors. The least you can do as a friend, parent, and colleague is to talk to people around you and tell them that you could be their safe space. I won't talk about stats because they are depressing and disturbing. Suicide is an impulse and shouldn't be an option. Don't ever tell and say anyone that suicide is for cowards, it's not.  It's high time that we talk about mental health. It's high time we normalize the stigma around ...

The Year: 2020

Before we all collectively declare the year 2020 as "The Worst Year", let's take a moment to understand it. The year started off with news about the Australian forest fires, the huge loss of habitat and many species becoming endangered, but amidst all this, COVID-19 would remain the news of 2020. A pandemic broke and affected thousands of people and causing the death of many. The virus outbreak took place in China and then spread throughout the globe before we realized. I know there is nothing good about it, but it was 2020 the year we wanted but needed. The year brought a number of realizations to humans, one of which is you can't plan everything.  We, as humans, state ourselves as the most intelligent beings and wouldn't hesitate to say that we rule the planet. But do we really?  It took a mere virus to tell us the things we knew but couldn't really accept. We call nature our mother, but we kept on degrading it, and dropping pollution levels during the lockd...

Acknowledgement

Lack of appreciation, constant targeting, and most importantly lack of acknowledgment are a big NO in a healthy work environment and what about our homes? Home sweet home is pretty wide concepts to elaborate in words but that is what we need in this time when we all are locked in our house for our benefit and health. Demanding acknowledgment and counting of favors are far two different concepts. As for an example, "I write because I like to express myself, my readers acknowledge this fact and tell me how good or bad the writeup is." I, as an individual, is very loud and clear about my choices and whether or not to do a certain task. I also expect other people to be the same while communicating with me. My attitude towards my tasks and hard work is not any kind of favor to anyone.  My father always asked me to enjoy my work be it be in any kind. I follow this mantra partially.   Now here comes the requirement of acknowledgment. If the work isn't acknowledged a...

Poem: "The Virus"

I woke up to the rising sun, I went up to the window, I didn't see the laughing club, Neither any yoga mats. It was silent and unusual. I saw the sunrise, I heard the birds chirp. Switched on the TV, They said some illness prevails out, Asked us to stay at home. I heard the news all day, Only to realize how evident the results are, When we disturb the mother nature. Spent the day reading about what humans have done, From hunting and poaching for their pleasure. To hang the heads of the wild as the medal of their pride. About the slaughterhouses and butcher place, They take lives away for what they serve in plates. It didn't just end here, It went on and on. These selfish humans didn't even leave bats to their peace. It wasn't the first pandemic that spread, It looks like they didn't learn from the books they wrote. The humans went on to butcher the nature, For now, it was time to teach us a lesson. Locked in homes, we wish to roam out, Rem...
