Poem: A Broken Doll

The one which broke once long back The one which couldn't heal ever Long back for the wounds have lasted now The scars still seem fresh The pain is healed but it ignited a fire The fire of revenge but not of violence The fire grew bit by bit each passing moment Maybe, to make them realize, was its only motive The realization of the sins to the culprit was difficult but never impossible Determination, patience, and wisdom were her weapons in the war The war against evil The war for her dignity She remained standing in the wind and thunder She answered the filthy questions in the courtroom for she was the victim Victim of inhumanity Victim of the rage Victim of the orthodox mindsets Victim of her own choice Choices to wear what she wanted to Choices for exploring the city despite the needles of the clock Choices of the people  she wanted to be with Choice of trusting people out of humanity. -Ira Pandey.
