Dear 14-year old me.
Hey 14-year old me,
I want to tell you a few things no one would ever tell you with this assurance.
You will meet a lot of people and you should not be holding on to people who backstab you and crap at your back about you. Those people aren't meant to keep but they would teach you the best lessons in life about trust, dignity and most importantly, the way how you react with this crap. They would do a hundred things to pull down and make fun of your flaws. They may have good skin for now but don't forget acne occur to all. They may be lean and all but you shouldn't be comparing yourself with any one of them, you are curvy and your beauty lay in those.
Life would challenge you and how you deal with it is most important. A few would break you and yes there will be nights of inferiority and tears, but you have to fight those and would make you what you want to be.
Not everyone would be sweet to you and be nice to you even when you are nice to them and they would mess with your stuff, they would call you names and bully you. Distance yourself from those people, let them be invisible for you. They wouldn't be bothering you once you build a wall strong enough that won't fall even when they attack you again and again.
What guys think about you doesn't matter, they are dumb than you and aren't worth the time and effort. Your books would take you a long run ahead. You would win arguments but not with those shitty people who talk crap but with people who are worth having a conversation with. You will grow to be the book wormer but none will know about the creative mind you have. Surprise them when you feel it's the moment.
You will never realize how your diary and pen will become your best friends and how you will pen down your tiny sphere of life and mistake in that diary.
You will meet people and they will leave when the time comes and there is nothing to be sad about it, if they were meant to stay they would have held onto you and not left. People have certain roles in your life and once the role is complete they vanish. You would take time to realize these facts and it's okay because experiences will teach you a million little things.
Don't worry about what people think of you, their opinion doesn't matter. What matter is how you work upon your personality and health.
They wouldn't be a part of your struggle to overcome certain fears and situations, be friends with people who didn't judge you, motivated you and stood by your side.
You would still meet backstabber but after a certain time, you would stop trusting every person you talk to. You would meet people who would have faith in you, as well. The world has a million kind of people, while there are bad, there are people who would be nice to u, who would care for you, no matter how much you would fight with these people they would stick around never letting you down. They would be friends for life.
Even if you will lose a few good friends, it would be for your betterment, always remember, sunny side up. Search for lessons in your bad experiences and failures, you never what life just taught you.
You are beautiful, even with your flaws. You will find someone who would love those flaws as well, just be who you are and keep changing for better.
You wouldn't be understood by all and it's okay because it's a matter of perception.
I hope I could meet you and tell you this but then how would you learn a thousand things life is gonna teach you.
Everyone may not love you but what matters is you should love you with flaws. working on them. Working out to the best of you. Because you can be what you dream of you.
Love.
The 18-year old me.
